Here are some of the conditions and diagnoses we treat:
Strains and Sprains – Injuries to muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints. From the neck and back, to the shoulders, arms and legs, we will reduce muscle spasm, swelling, and scar tissue, to decrease pain and help you regain your previous movement and function.
Post Surgical – When specifically cleared for Massage Therapy by your surgeon, we provide care to help you heal from orthopedic surgeries such as:
*Muscle and Tendon Repair, including Rotator Cuff Repair, Achilles Tendon Repair, Biceps Tenodesis, etc.
*Shoulder, Hip, and Knee Replacements
*ACL/PCL Repair, Meniscectomy
*Spinal Surgeries such as Microdiscectomy, Laminectomy, Spinal Fusion
Nerve Entrapment Conditions – Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Sciatica, and others can be caused or worsened by muscle spasm, buildup of scar tissue, and inflammation. Massage Therapy can relax hypertonic (tight) muscles, break down scar tissue, and reduce inflammation.
Fibromyaglia and Myofascial Pain Syndromes – Massage Therapy can help soothe your pain and decrease inflammation, to get you out of a fibromyalgia flare up and ease your myofascial symptoms and restrictions.
Migraine & Tension Headache – We will reduce the tension in the muscles of your shoulders, neck, head, and face to relieve your symptoms and help reduce the number of migraine and headache days you experience.
Plantar Fasciitis – Pain in the sole of your foot is often caused or made worse by spasm/tightness in your calf muscles, Massage Therapy can provide significant relief of your symptoms.
Tendonitis/Tendonosis – Medial Epicondylitis (Golfer’s Elbow), Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow) and other tendon conditions are often a result of repetitive movements that tighten muscles, which puts strain on tendons. Reducing tension in the affected muscles and tendons can reduce symptoms and increase your function.
Osteoarthritis – The progressive, degenerative changes to the cartilage in your joints do worsen over time, but symptoms and function can be improved by increasing circulation, applying heat, and moving the affected joints. Massage Therapy provides excellent pain relief and improves your ability to move.
